Once again the US and its allies are threatening Syria with the use of force despite the Geneva deal to dismantle Damascus’ chemical weapons. Russia has warned that threats against Syria will hinder efforts to hold peace talks to find a political solution to Syria’s crisis. The deal will take a lot of time and funds to achieve its goal and doesn't seem practical as there's no guarantee that a military strike against Syria will be abandoned after Damascus dismantles its chemical weapons. The deal has also ignored the threat of Israel’s chemical arms and in turn is in the interest of Tel Aviv, Syria’s arch enemy.
